Erato

A handmade Bridal Pin with charms representing the traditional rhyme Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. A natural gemstone for the month the wedding is what makes this pin unique and a one-of-a-kind gift. Named ‘Erato’ after the Greek Muse of Love Poetry.

Each bridal pin consists of:

a. Something Old: a lucky genuine polished sixpence coin.

b. Something New: a quality stainless steel butterfly charm, symbol of a new start.

c. Something Borrowed: a natural gemstone; borrowed from the earth. This is combined with a silver plated ‘Bride’ charm.

d. Something Blue: a sparkly 16mm teardrop shape Preciosa® Crystal pendant in blue Sapphire colour. (please note this is a little bit different to the one shown in photos)

Please choose the Wedding Month from the dropdown menu. You can check which gemstone corresponds to each month from the ‘Gemstones by Month’ image. *Please note that for the months April the gemstone on the pin will be a clear Preciosa bicone crystal bead, as a representation of the diamond and for the month of July a Red Jasper natural gemstone will represent Ruby.

* IMPORTANT: Most gemstones used are raw/natural and therefore may differ from the images shown above – may be bigger or smaller, shinier or duller, darker or lighter. No one stone is the same, making this bridal pin more unique and one of a kind.

The pin itself is our very own design and it’s made of stainless steel in silver mirror finish. This means it will not rust and last for a long time. On the wedding day, the Bride can attach the pin inside her dress, on the bouquet or bridal purse or handbag. After the wedding it can be kept in its gift box or put in a shadow box frame and use as decoration.

Each finished Bridal Pin comes in our luxurious white jewellery box with a white velvet insert. A card with information about the meaning of each charm is found inside the lid (as per photos). A ‘Handmade Guarantee’, Care Instructions cards and a Silver Polishing cloth are also included in each Erato Bridal Pin order.
